I luv injured Murphy. Not gonna lie. 
I also love how the injuries remain present in the cutscenes in the game, makes it feel more realistic!
I think the game creators did a wonderful job with his character. I also loved the slight use of stereotyping; we started the game thinking that Murphy was a big bad criminal who seemingly did something terrible, but deep down he's a soft, loving individal. ^^
